[Ketil began learning the violin at the age of three at the Suzuki Institute under various teachers and switched to the viola when he was ten. ]

[He enrolled at Sankt Annæ Music School and graduated in 2023, after which he began his bachelor's degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. During his time as a musician, he has received violin and viola tuition from Turi Vethal, Claus Kanneworff, Ilona Telmányi, Juan Drown, Astrid Christensen, Tim Frederiksen and Claus Myrup. In addition, he has participated in masterclasses in both chamber music and solo performance with Winfried Rademacher, Lars Anders Tomter, Juan Drown, Claus Myrup, Tim Frederiksen and Kristina Fiolova.]

[Ketil spends his days at the conservatoire, where he explores the viola's role in the world of chamber music and the instrument's more soloistic side; he also teaches using the Suzuki method.]

Undervisning i bratsch

Teaching viola

Ketil teaches the viola using the Suzuki Method, a pedagogical approach that focuses on musical listening, natural language acquisition and the joy of playing

The Suzuki method is, above all, about nurturing beautiful souls through the medium of music.

I prefer to teach both the parent and the pupil at the same time, so that the parent knows what to do when it comes to teaching at home. I will teach in any age group.
